A self-hypnosis application developed jointly with CRR Suva (Romand Rehabilitation Clinic)

The HyoPhy project, born from the collaboration between the Romand Rehabilitation Clinic and the Icare Research Institute, is a mobile self-hypnosis application dedicated to chronic pain management. This project represents a significant advancement in the field of healthcare, offering a non-pharmacological alternative to improve patients’ quality of life.

This application is based on solid scientific foundations that demonstrate the effectiveness of hypnosis and therapeutic education in self-hypnosis for pain reduction. Designed for autonomous use, it will allow patients to actively manage their pain in a flexible and personalized way, by accessing self-hypnosis sessions tailored to their specific needs at any time. This approach aims to help patients reconceptualize pain, thereby optimizing pain management and improving user comfort without the side effects of analgesics.

Healthcare professionals will also benefit from this solution. The application facilitates real-time monitoring of patient progress, allows content to be adjusted according to individual needs, and integrates seamlessly into existing treatment plans. The library of self-hypnosis sequences, developed specifically for this project, offers therapists valuable tools to personalize sessions and effectively support their patients.

Beyond individual benefits, this application could transform clinical practices by reducing reliance on analgesic medications, which will help decrease side effects and reduce costs associated with pain management. By facilitating a more autonomous and accessible approach, it could also reduce the number of necessary medical visits, thereby easing the burden on healthcare systems.
